The CHAIRMANSHIP

It is made up of the Chairman, the Vice-Chairmans and the Scientific Secretary.

The President of the Academy of Sciences carried out his activity in the periods between the meetings of the Presidium.
He secures relations with the Government, represents the Academy of Sciences in its relations with the institutions of the country and other states, convokes and heads the meetings of the Chairmanship, supervises the activity of the insstitutions and centres of the Academy of Sciences.

The Vice-chairman supervises and coordinates the activity of the sections under his dependence, mapproves the plans of the main scientific and organisational activities and checks up the results of their work.

The Scientific Secretary, follows up the application of the decision of the assembly and the chairmanship, prepares their meetings, compiles the scientific plans of the Academy of Sciences and the general reports for its general activity on the basis of the plans and reports presented by the sections.
