Sections of the Academy

Sections of the Academy are scientific and organizing organs, which define their own number and nomination. These Sections are bound to orient, to organize, to contribute and to follow up the scientific activities in those fields of science they lead and of the scientific Institutions, which operate in these fields.

They closely follow up the scientific developments out of the system of the Academy and put forward the proposals for setting up new scientific institutes and centers, for organizing special groups for inter-disciplinary studies, put forward proposals and take the measures for organizing scientific congresses, conferences and symposiums.

These Sections are made up of members of the Academy, the directors of the research institutions of the Academy, professors who are members of the Assembly and the scientific secretaries. Actually there are two Sections in the ASA:

The Section of Social Sciences and The Section of Natural and Technical Sciences.
