THE CENTER OF ALBANIAN ENCYCLOPEDY

The Albanian Encyclopedical Center (QESH - AEC) was founded with the decision of the Presidency of the Accademy of the Sciences of Albania in July 1998, upon the base of the Encyclopedical Section of the same Accademy, which was founded in 1981.

The immediate goal of the Albanian Encyclopedical Center consists in preparing a revised and completed edition of the "Fjalori enciklopedik shqiptar" (1985) (Albanian Encyclopedical Dictionary - 1985), to be ready for publishing in 2002. The work for the compilation of the Albanian Encyclopedy in more volumes will start immediatly after that.
