ACTIVITY

The object of the Institute of History is the study of the history of the Albanian people within and outside the Albanian state from the antiquity until our days.

Its aim is the preparation and publication of the documentary collections, monographs, articles as well as the organization of the scientific activities as symposiums, round tables, workshops, conferences castining light on the history of the economic-social cultural, political, diplomatic developments of Albania on the Balkans, European scale and broader.

The main directions of the scientific activity will be:

The history of the Albanian people in the period of the Middle Ages
Albania under the Ottoman rule (XVI th - XVIII th centuries)
The Albanian National Renaissance
The Albanian Independent State (1913-1939)
Problems of the National-Liberation Antifascist War
Albania in the period of the communist regime (1944-1990)
Problems of the history of the ethnic lands and diaspora.
